The Fiat Brevetti was an automobile presented by Fiat in 1905 after the company acquired the Ansaldi firm. Fiat developed the Ansaldi design into the 10 to 12 HP car, which was renamed Brevetti in 1906. A second series, the Brevetti 2, originally called the 15 to 25 HP, was built from 1909 on the same mechanics with a more powerful engine of 25 PS. The first car used a 3052 cc engine producing 20 horsepower, and both versions were assembled at the Corso Dante plant in Turin. The Brevetti sits among the brass era cars of the Fiat range, between the earlier 16 to 20 HP and the later Brevetti 2.
