Fiat 503

Automobiles

The Fiat 503 was a Fiat car produced for only two years, 1926 and 1927. It was based on the earlier Fiat 501, keeping that model's 1.5-liter engine, which gave 27 PS (20 kW), while receiving modified suspension and brakes. Fiat built 42,000 examples of the 503, which makes it a far more numerous model than many of its short-lived contemporaries and shows how much demand the 501 family still had in the late 1920s. It stands as a refined, evolutionary step rather than a new design.
