La Marquise is a steam powered automobile built in France around 1884 by the firm that would become De Dion-Bouton, financed by Count Jules-Albert de Dion and engineered by Georges Bouton and Charles Trepardoux. It is recognized as the oldest running automobile in the world, still capable of being driven under its own steam power more than a century after it was built.
