Nissan NV (North America)

The Nissan NV, short for Nissan Van, is a full-size van that Nissan produced from 2011 to 2021. Nissan developed and marketed it for the United States and Canada, where it had not previously competed in the full-size segment; until then Mexico was the only North American country selling a full-size Nissan van, the Urvan. The NV shares the F-Alpha platform with the Nissan Titan full-size pickup but is highly modified for a flat loading floor, so the two share mainly powertrain pieces and some design language. It was rear-wheel drive only, with a five-speed automatic and later a seven-speed. Nissan aimed it not at fleet buyers of the Ford E-Series and Chevrolet Express but at private buyers such as contractors and small business owners. It came as the NV1500, NV2500 HD and NV3500 HD with a 4.0 litre V6 or a 5.6 litre V8. In 2020 Nissan decided to replace its commercial van business in North America with a Business Advantage program, and production ended in the middle of 2021.
