Hyundai Casper

Automobiles

The Hyundai Casper is an A-segment crossover city car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 2021. It is the smallest crossover SUV the brand has offered and the smallest car of any kind Hyundai sells. It was developed for the South Korean light car category, which gives tax incentives to vehicles shorter than 3,600 mm and narrower than 1,600 mm, and it is the first Hyundai in that segment since the Atos. The Casper was revealed through images on 1 September 2021, pre-orders opened on 15 September and it went on sale on 29 September; its name comes from the Casper skateboarding technique. A Casper Van was released on 3 February 2022, and a battery electric version, the Casper Electric, sold abroad as the Hyundai Inster, followed in mid-2024.
