The Hyundai Bayon is a subcompact crossover hatchback that Hyundai produces mainly for the European market, where it is the smallest SUV in the line-up and sits below the Kona. It is based on the third-generation i20, shares its mechanical layout and is offered with front-wheel drive, and its name refers to the French city of Bayonne. The first generation, code BC3, was first revealed in March 2021 and has a rugged profile with sharp body-side creases, split headlights and arrow-shaped LED taillights joined by a thin light strip, while the cabin borrows the dual 10.25-inch screens of the i20, with wireless phone charging and a Bose sound system. A facelift was revealed on 18 January 2024, and a second generation, code BC4, was shown in October 2026, with an Indian-specification car positioned between the Venue and the Creta.
