Morris Minor

The Morris Minor is a small automobile built by the British manufacturer Morris Motors beginning in 1948, designed by Alec Issigonis, who later created the Mini, and notable as the first British car to sell more than a million units. Built with unibody construction and an emphasis on economical, practical motoring in the austere postwar British market, the Minor was offered over its long production life in saloon, convertible, estate and light commercial van versions, and it remained in production with steady incremental updates until 1971. Its combination of affordability, durability and simple, easily maintained mechanicals made it one of the most popular and enduring British cars of the postwar era.
