The Hyundai Xcent is a subcompact sedan produced by Hyundai, based on the Hyundai Grand i10 and manufactured by Hyundai Motor India Limited in Chennai. It was launched on 12 March 2014 and was conceived to fit the popular sub-4 metre sedan segment in India. In September 2014 the Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan signed with Hyundai Motors India as brand ambassador for the Xcent. In June 2019 Hyundai Motor India confirmed that production of the Xcent would be discontinued by 2020 in India, because the Xcent nameplate was being used for taxi purposes, with the Hyundai Aura replacing it and the Xcent sold alongside the Aura only as a fleet model.
