The Hyundai Reina is a subcompact sedan manufactured in China by Hyundai through the Beijing Hyundai joint venture. It made its debut at the 2017 Chongqing Motor Show, went on sale in China in September 2017 and was the first car produced at the Chongqing plant of Beijing Hyundai, where Hyundai placed it slightly under the Verna. It is based on the PB platform of the Accent and Verna, with a 2,570 mm wheelbase, a trunk of 475 litres and a 1.4 litre Kappa four-cylinder engine of 97 horsepower driving the front wheels. The name is the Spanish word for queen. It was released in the Philippines in March 2019 to replace the Eon, and since 2019 it has been sold as the Hyundai Verna in Latin American markets such as Costa Rica, Chile and Peru.
