The Ford F-250 Super Chief was a concept heavy duty truck built by Ford, a crew cab with a stock bed cover and liner and rear doors converted to suicide doors. Its tri-flex fueling system let owners run on gasoline, E85 ethanol or hydrogen and switch between them with an onboard system even while the vehicle was running, which was meant to reassure customers worried about fuel availability while ethanol and hydrogen infrastructure developed. The supercharger was active only on hydrogen, which gave 400 pound feet of torque, 12 percent better fuel efficiency than the other fuels and 99 percent less carbon dioxide than gasoline, with 500 miles between total refuelings. The powertrain is described as a supercharged tri-flex 6.8 litre V10 producing 550 horsepower. Its styling resembled the 2002 Mighty F-350, and the grille took its inspiration from the locomotives of the same name. It never went into production, but it appeared in a video game and as a Ridemakerz toy car body.
