Suzuki Solio

Automobiles

The Suzuki Solio is a mini MPV that Suzuki has produced and marketed since 1997. Its predecessor and first generation derived from the narrower Wagon R, widened mainly for export markets and originally sold as the Wagon R-Wide in Japan and the Wagon R+ in Europe. The Wagon R-Wide was introduced in February 1997 as a slightly larger Wagon R that exceeded kei car rules, with 1.0 or 1.2 litre engines, and Europe received it from 1997 until May 2000. It was built under other names too: GM Colmotores in Colombia sold it as the Chevrolet Wagon R+ from 1999 to 2001, Indonesia built it as the Suzuki Karimun from 1999 until 2006, and in China it forms the base of the Changhe Beidouxing.
