The Buick GSX is a high-performance muscle car package introduced in 1970, built atop Buick's Skylark-based Gran Sport (GS) line and equipped with the top-tier Stage 1 version of Buick's 455 cubic inch V8. Produced in very limited numbers with distinctive striping and spoilers, it stood as Buick's answer to the muscle car performance race dominated by GM stablemates such as the Pontiac GTO and Oldsmobile 442.
