Suzuki Swift

Automobiles

The Suzuki Swift is a supermini car, classed as B-segment in the European single market, that Suzuki sells worldwide. The name was used from 1984 as an export badge for the Suzuki Cultus, a subcompact built from 1983, and it reached Japan in 2000 as the Cultus replacement, but the Swift became a model in its own right as a global car in 2004. Suzuki positions it between the Ignis and Baleno in its hatchback range, and by September 2025 the global-model Swift had sold 10 million units. The rebadged Cultus carried many names, among them Geo Metro, Pontiac Firefly, Holden Barina and Subaru Justy, and a Swift Sport variant has used higher-output engines since the Japanese version of 2003.
