The Suzuki Mehran is a rebadged second generation Suzuki Alto that Pak Suzuki Motors manufactured for Pakistan. It was introduced in 1989 as the successor to the Suzuki FX, which was a rebadged first generation Alto, and its original retail price was 90,000 rupees. It is a five door hatchback with a 796 cc three cylinder F8B engine that made 29.4 kW and could reach 140 km/h, using a carburettor until 2012 and fuel injection in the Euro II model of 2013. It changed very little over a production run of about 32 years, kept leaf spring rear suspension and a simple specification, and was cheap to maintain, which kept its resale value high. Just under 600,000 were sold in Pakistan from 1999 to 2018. Pak Suzuki ended production in March 2019 in favour of the eighth generation Alto.
