Suzuki Cervo

Automobiles

The Suzuki Cervo is a kei car manufactured by Suzuki Motor Corporation, introduced in 1976 as the successor to the Suzuki Fronte Coupe. The name was first used for a kei sports coupe and then for models derived from the Alto, and the nameplate was retired between 1998 and 2006 and again in December 2009. The Fronte Coupe it followed was a Giugiaro-designed 2+2 mini GT with a 359 cc two-stroke engine, measuring only 2,995 mm, which was discontinued in June 1976 because it did not suit the new kei limits or the stricter emissions rules. After a hiatus of over a year Suzuki returned to the sports minicar market with the SS20 Cervo in October 1977, mainly for Japan, powered by a rear-mounted 539 cc three-cylinder two-stroke T5A engine.
