The Hyundai HB20 is a subcompact car that Hyundai Motor Company has produced in Brazil since 2012, the first and only Hyundai strategically developed and built exclusively for the Brazilian market. HB stands for Hyundai Brasil and the number 20 echoes the similarly sized i20. The first generation offered 1.0 and 1.6 litre engines, the larger being a 1.6 litre Gamma of 128 horsepower, and by 2013 over 75 percent of its parts were made in Brazil. Body variants include the HB20S sedan, which is 4.23 m long with a 450 litre boot, and the HB20X, a raised crossover-look version sold only in Brazil. The second generation was launched on 17 September 2019 and facelifted in July 2022, and exports began to Paraguay and Uruguay in 2016, Mexico and Colombia in 2022 and Argentina in 2024.
